Mrs Josephine Rumsey — Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer. The clerk is the council's paid officer: she prepares agendas, records minutes, manages the council's money and is the proper first point of contact for residents.

What the council does
- Meets on the second Wednesday of the month and considers planning matters affecting the town, including Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Authority consultations
- Raises and spends the parish precept (£75,000 in 2024/2025) — see Finance & transparency
- Works with local groups on projects across Talgarth and Trefeca — see the council's own agendas for current work
- Supports town amenities and represents residents to Powys County Council
